Whilst members can purchase wine to be delivered straight to their own cellars at home, most prefer to store their growing cellar at 
, a secure and dedicated temperature-controlled, bonded wine warehouse. This ensures optimum conditions are maintained throughout.
Tax Efficiency
Buying, storing and selling ‘in bond’ is a tax efficient way to run your cellar, and the standard method of purchase for fine wines, as its avoids the need to pay UK Duty and Value Added Tax at the time of purchase.
Current governmental regulations – as always subject to change – mean that wine ‘in bond’ can be bought, sold and delivered to other bonded warehouses under these same tax conditions, but wine cannot be delivered to a private address until the Duty and VAT have been paid.
Your wine collection belongs to you at all times, no matter where it is stored.
Slatebin charges for storage six monthly in arrears at a current rate of £5.72 per case inclusive of VAT.
